MeQ is all about self-awareness; the ability to focus on yourself and objectively evaluate how your actions, thoughts, and feelings affect and are perceived by others. MeQ is at the core of everything.

How mentally fit are you? Your Positivity Quotient (PQ) is the measure of your positivity vs negativity.

We use Mindful Leadership Tools to help you further develop your PQ so that you learn

to respond to difficult situations vs reacting to them.

When our Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is high, we can identify and manage

our emotions and better understand the emotions of others. When our EQ is

low, we have difficulty managing and expressing our emotions, which can

lead to blaming others when something doesn't go as planned. When leaders

lack EQ this can result in lower employee engagement and high turnover rates.

Your Leadership Quotient, or LQ, is built on MEPS, your Mental, Emotional, Physical

and Spiritual qualities. When our MEPS is in check, we are better able to develop trust,

communicate clearly and become better aligned with our teams.

Your Relationship Quotient (RQ) is the ability to influence, coach and mentor others. Leaders with a high RQ are able to hold constructive conversations, even around conflict, in a timely manner so that issues do not put a strain on employee morale and productivity.

Cobalt Cattle Company
Case Study

Screenshot 2024-06-06 at 9.50.22 AM.png

Cobalt Cattle Company underwent an organizational transformation, separating from a publicly traded entity, integrating feed yards with diverse cultures, and undergoing a name change.

In collaboration with the leadership team, we developed a new vision statement, guiding principles, and values for Cobalt to steer the daily decisions of their employees, and the company.

We facilitated the creation of Cobalt Cattle University, a comprehensive program encompassing supervisor and leadership development, a Management Trainee program, and paid internships. Annually, we design and deliver tailored training programs for Cobalt's supervisors and leaders.

How They Are Doing Today

Cobalt Cattle Company operates across nine locations, including three offices and six feed yards, all united in  their ongoing commitment to fostering the Cobalt culture they aspire to achieve. Now in the fourth year of their supervisor and leadership training program, they have had over 80 employees participate.

Feedback from the Cobalt Team

The training created a great experience on identifying my strengths and weaknesses as a leader.

Cathy also helped me structure a plan to improve my overall skills as a manager. - Junior

Cathy’s workshops provide ongoing, progressive leadership training. The DISC training encourages self-awareness as well as awareness of other personalities, and the literature studies expose the group to big picture concepts. Cathy effectively takes leadership concepts that are applicable in several industries and aligns them with a specific company’s core values, goals, and daily objectives. As a female leader for Cobalt Cattle, I am more confident in utilizing leadership techniques to build staff capacity, mentor, and pave the way for others. My colleagues and I returned from leadership training excited and inspired to apply many of the skills learned in a classroom setting into practice with our teams who are at the front lines of the cattle feeding operation. - Allison
